LOCK still takes the risk of Covid seriously and will follow the CDC’s recommended guidelines for all our in-person gatherings. As these guidelines are updated and the situation evolves, so will our policies. At this current time Covid-19 is not the threat it once was. Our updated policy reflects that change and is subject to change should the situation call for it.
VACCINATION
To attend a LOCK in-person event, we would prefer you be fully vaccinated and boosted. If you are not vaccinated or have never had a booster, we can still vet you to attend LOCK events.
You MUST be willing to SHOW a legal ID to me (Shadowwolfx9). The name on your vaccination card (if you have one) and your legal identification MUST match. Seeing a vaccination card alone is not enough for me. I will check your legal ID at the door of the first event you attend, for the sole purpose of verifying your identity. NO ONE BUT A LOCK ADMINISTRATOR WILL BE PRIVY TO THE INFORMATION ON THESE DOCUMENTS and your identification will not be copied or shared in any way with anyone. Privacy has always been a cornerstone priority in the BDSM community, and it still is. I’ve thought long and hard about whether to go this route, but ultimately, I believe it’s the best way to move forward and acknowledge that the Covid-19 virus is less dangerous to us. Especially in light of what we’ve learned over the past 4 years.

COVID SAFETY PROCEDURES FOR IN-PERSON EVENTS
The CDC updated its guidelines and no longer recommends masks or social distancing when people are gathering in a private setting. Therefore, we will not require masks or social distancing for indoor or outdoor events. Our classes will be held indoors and outdoors. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please feel free to do so. Ultimately, it’s about personal risk assessment.
Accompanying each class, we may hold a play party and allow access to our indoor dungeon (dungeon rules are in a separate sticky on the LOCK profile). For the time being, we will be taking precautions beyond the recommendations of the CDC. Cleaning supplies will be readily available, and we ask that you use them. Per the CDC guidelines, a mask will not be required indoors, but if you prefer, we encourage you to wear a mask when you are moving around inside or at your play station. The indoor gatherings (dungeon included) will never fall below CDC guidelines. Attendees can mingle outside or on the back deck when not inside playing or play at outdoor stations that will also be available.
TESTING
We MAY also require that attendees take a Covid-19 test within 24 hours (ideally, as close as possible) before arrival at specific LOCK events. We will accept both at-home tests and lab tests. Attendees must send a picture of their test result to LOCK, via email or text, prior to their arrival at the event. This requirement does not apply to Socials or rope labs and is dependent upon whatever the current Covid-19 risk is. If infections go up this policy may change. Testing before events has proven to catch cases of Covid infections. Safety is our ultimate concern so the pre party/event testing policy will continue. However, if purchasing a test creates a hardship for any attendee, just reach out to an Administrator and we will assist.
